Bangladesh's software and information technology enabled services (ITES) exports to Japan have been remarkable. This is largely due to the fact that local companies have established a foothold in Japan.
According to the Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS), IT exports to Japan jumped 35% year-on-year in FY2021/2022 from just about $56 million in FY 2016/2017 (July 2016 to June 2017) to $120 million in The figure was achieved.

On the other hand, barriers are language and lack of direct flights; need to learn from Vietnam, where Japanese language skills of IT engineers are high, and focus on Japanese language education. In addition, direct flights from Dhaka to Japan are essential to promote the entry of companies from both countries.
